Mrs. Snyder's Class

Wow, we are at the end of week 2.

It has been a very busy week for us. We have done NWEA for both ELA and Math. We have learned new routine for going to specials, met 3 new teachers (our specials teachers), learned how to go to lunch and eat in our own areas, worked on our names, used white boards, and started in our CKLA curriculum. Busy!!1

Next week we will:
- continue with our new ELA CKLA curriculum
-work on line strokes preparing us for writing
-learn several new nursery rhymes (even some familiar ones)

-start our math curriculum on numbers

-continue learning about rules for school and other places

-continue learning each others names

How to help and home:
- practice holding pencils and writing with them
- practice using scissors
- practice coloring neatly, within or close to the lines
- practice sitting for stories
- practice asking for help
- practice going potty all by themselves, flushing and washing
- practice zipping and unzipping
- practice recognizing and writing their name (upper case for 1st letter, lowercase for the rest)

All of these things will be helpful to continue our year and help us be successful in Kindergarten!
