Wow, It's December already!!

The second quarter has been flying by. We have started our new ELA curriculum, started a new unit in social studies, getting ready for addition. A lot has been happening!
 
This month we will:
  • start the next unit of our CKLA curriculum: Underdogs and Heroes (working on retelling, story elements)
  • finish up unit 4 for skills and start unit 5: giving us almost all of our letter sounds and spelling; and even some new "tricky" words
  • finish topic 5 in math: comparing numbers and start topic 6: beginning addition
  • continue with our "This is where I live" unit for social studies
  • have a craft night sponsored by the PTC (Dec 11)
  • have a Winter concert (Dec 16)
  • have a snowball to celebrate all things snowy (Dec 17)
  • wrap up Quarter 2 with a half day and start our winter break (Dec 19)
 
 
It's going to be a very busy 3 weeks! Please make sure your kiddos are here daily.
