Hello, my name is Kelly Snyder. I am a mom of 3 wonderful daughters and a grandmom. My oldest grandson is now 7 years old and in Second grade. My youngest grandson just turned 6 months old. My oldest daughter is married with 2 boys. My middle daughter manages a restaurant in Detroit. My youngest has started her first year in college. All of my children have graduated from Center Line Public Schools.
I have been teaching for Center Line Public Schools for 23+ years. I have been a dance team coach for the middle and high school along with being a dance instructor for Miller Elementary's after school program for ten years. I am a former Center Line high school dance team coach along with "running" a district dance group that has performed for Homecoming in previous years. We had a great turn out last year! My heart is here with the children of Center Line Public Schools.
I love teaching. I graduated with my Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education from Wayne State University and received my Master's in Elementary Education from Saginaw Valley State University. I continue schooling every year focusing on what's Best for children.
I am married to a school board member for CLPS, Dan. We both have been very involved with the schools and school district since moving to Center Line almost 30 years ago.
I have taught a 4/5 split, a 1/2 split, a 1-2 loop for 2 rotations, then a K-1 rotation, 4 years of Kindergarten, a K-1 rotation, Kindergarten again and now currently back into the beginning of a new Kindergarten year. I can teach middle school math but I feel my passion is in the lower elementary.
